Chapleau area man fined for carelessly hunting moose

A Chapleau area man has received a $1,250 fine for carelessly hunting moose. The Brunswick House First Nation man was also ordered to complete the Ontario Hunter Education Program before he can hunt again in Ontario.On Oct. 22, 2010, at Kilometre 7 on Hebner Road the man saw four moose standing on the crest of a hill. He stopped his vehicle in walked for a bit and fired four rounds down the road at a bull moose. The case was heard in Chapleau provincial court on June 11th.
