“SOCK It To Us” is in full swing.
This is a provincial initiative to collect as many pairs of new socks as possible for our local homeless. SOCKS Timmins Coordinator Carol Halt says they have teamed up with the city to set up collection stations across the city.
Halt says there a few collection bins set up in local businesses as well. She says her goal is to collect 7,500 pairs of socks this year.
The collection blitz runs until Saturday.
