Concerns and recommendations on the 2017 Ontario Budget have been sent to the province. The Timmins Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Chamber have sent the province 13 recommendations around infrastructure growth.
Manager of Policy and Research Nick Stewart says one of the bigger infrastructure needs in the north is broadband.
Stewart says that the province should also look at Connecting Link Highways. He adds that the province has done a good job with reviving that program, but more needs to be done. He says that Timmins in particular has the second largest amount of connecting highways in the province.
