In a mandate letter for newly-appointed Democratic Institutions Minister Karina Gould, Justin Trudeau says that consultations across the country have shown that Canadians are not clamouring for a change in the way they elect the federal government. Angus says this goes against Trudeau’s campaign promises. The New Democrat says this is really about the value of the Prime Minister’s word. He adds this just creates more cynicism towards politicians from the public. Angus believes Trudeau has failed Canadians and he has to be accountable for his actions.
