News Parents Charged in Death of Their 4-Month Old Baby SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Thursday, Feb. 2nd, 2017 The Timmins Police Service have arrested two people for the death of a 4-month-old baby. On December 11th, police were called to the Timmins and District Hospital for reports of suspicious injuries to the baby. The baby was then transported to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario where it later passed away on December 14th. An investigation resulted in a 23-year-old man and 19-year-old woman, the parents of the infant, being charged with failing to provide the necessaries of life to a child as well as causing death by criminal negligence. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, the names of the accused and victim will not be released. Both of the accused were arrested on January 31st and remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
