News Museum Gets Federal Funding SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Tuesday, Jan. 24th, 2017 The Black River-Matheson Museum is receiving almost $47,000 from FedNor’s Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program. The money will help replace the museums roof, plumbing and improve energy efficiency. The museum holds more than 20,000 artifacts and only operates in the summer. Mayor of Black River-Matheson Garry Edwards says this funding will greatly improve the museum and hopefully boost tourism in the township.
