The Timmins Police Service is reminding drivers of some basic winter driving tips. TPS Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says a number of collisions at Timmins intersections are deemed preventable. Depatie says one of the biggest things you need to remember is to completely clear off your windows. He says looking through a small hole you cleared off isn’t safe for anyone on the road. He adds if you don’t clear off your windows, you could end up with a $110 fine. Depatie says you also have to be mindful of pedestrians at intersections, apply yourself to the task at hand, and slow down.
