The snowmobile season is officially here according to the Timmins Snowmobile Club. Local trails for Timmins and District 14 are all groomed and open. Timmins Snowmobile Club President Raymond Corbeil says those who choose to venture out should stay on the groomed paths. Corbeil says if you leave the trail you have to be extremely vigilant because there are hidden objects under the snow that can damage your snowmobile or cause an accident. He says you should always travel on the trails in a group and keep an emergency kit on hand.
