Snowmobilers Want a Path Across Hollinger Park

The Timmins Snowmobile Club is preparing a presentation for city council to possibly amend the bylaw that restricts snowmobilers from using Hollinger Park.
Club President Ray Corbeil says they want to put a motion forward to cordon off a section of the park that will allow sledders to access the gas station without endangering park-goers.
Corbeil says he has selected a section along Brunette Road and Algonquin Boulevard to fence off and have a corridor leading to the station.
Operator of Sk8te Hollinger Ken Pye says he is in favour of this compromise and says if they just want to access the gas station, let them.
Corbeil is working with Mayor Steve Black on the proposal and hopes to have it on the next council meeting agenda.
