News Water and Sewer Rates are Going Up SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Tuesday, Dec. 13th, 2016 Timmins residents should expect water and sewer rate increases in 2017. The rates will be going up another $50 per year, a five per cent increase from this year. This price is set for the average home. City council states $35 will go towards sewer and the remaining $15 goes to water services. Mayor Steve Black says the decision was not unanimous, but it had to be done.
