It’s a big cheque for the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation.  The agency has been given 80,000 from the Timmins Area District Hospital Auxiliary.  This latest amount takes the foundation’s fundraising drive to $1.5 million.  The money the foundation has raised will help the hospital buy some much-needed medical equipment like smart pumps, dialysis vital signs monitor and a sleep lab osmosis machine.   It also buys a pediatric asthma vital sign monitor.  The hospital says the monitor will help staff better manage asthma, especially with children.
