Highway 144 near Timmins is open again. Earlier Tuesday, South Porcupine OPP closed a stretch of the roadway while they hunted for two people wanted in connection with a stolen vehicle. The driver and passenger abandoned their vehicle and ran into the bush by the highway prompting the OPP to close the road for public safety. They arrested the pair around 5:00pm Tuesday. There’s no word yet on charges.
