With $4.9 million from the feds and province coming to Timmins, the city is well on its way to further developing the Industrial Rail Park. It already has one major anchor and that’s the Calabrian Corporation which produces sulphur dioxide for many Canadian customers. Mayor Steve Black says it’s companies like Calabrian the city needs to keep attracting, because every little job helps. Black says the city is pursuing more opportunities for the industrial park. On December 5th he has a meeting with Chinese investors who could bring more jobs to the 36 acre facility.
