Charges laid in Bear Island assault incident

A joint investigation by the Timiskaming OPP and Bear Island First Nation police has resulted in charges against a resident of the reserve.  Back on September 2nd, both police detachments responded to an assault at the First Nation.  Now, more than two months later a 38-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, assault and two counts of mischief.  Details of the assault were not released.
