Timmins residents should expect the flood warning of the Mattgami River that passes through the city to last into the long weekend. That’s because water levels will remain high for the next several days. For people and businesses close to the Mattgami, monitor it and take appropriate action to protect your property if necessary. Meanwhile, the Ivanhoe River Watershed remains under a flood warning. For residents in the Foleyet area it means there’s the chance of flooding in low-lying areas. There could be as much as 15 millimetres of rain on Tuesday and another five on Thursday. Also Highway 101 remains closed east of Foleyet because of flooding.
