The BIA is going to be announcing a new initiative to encourage economic growth in the downtown core tonight. This is part of their celebration of downtown businesses, which will recognize local business owners and building investments. It kicks off at 6 tonight at the Tweed and Hickory store. The BIA will also be announcing a possible new infrastructure project, and a new downtown business. Tickets are $10 at the door, which includes a happy hour drink and hors d’oeuvres. You can also get tickets at the BIA office at 71 Balsam St. South.
