Timmins library starting a new program to help seniors learn how to use tablets

The Timmins Public Library is going be hosting tablet sessions for seniors, thanks to a grant from the province. The library bought four tablets to use in the bi-monthly sessions, which begin this month. The training sessions will teach seniors how to use the iPad or Samsung Galaxy tablets for things like email, social media, and popular apps.

The sessions are free to attend, but registration is required, and they will last for around 90 minutes. There will be a maximum of eight participants per session. The first two sessions are on September 26th and 28th, and the following ones will be announced at the beginning of each month.

To sign up, call (705) 360-2623, ext. 8519.
