Ontario investing over $14M into northeastern hospitals, but TADH isn’t one of them

The province is kicking in almost $15 million to invest into hospitals in the northeast. However, the Timmins hospital is not one of the 22 hospitals that will benefit from the funding. It will go to places like Sudbury, North Bay, and Temiskaming.

The money is going to go into various projects like fixing roofs, upgrading fire alarms, and buying back-up generators.

Ontario’s Energy Minister, and MPP for Sudbury, Glenn Thibeault says the funding is badly needed for hospitals in the area. He says the province’s goal is to work with healthcare units in north, to ensure patients have access to care at all times.
