Update on the Connecting Link work in South Porcupine

The $4.5 million reconstruction of Highway 101 around the Bruce intersection is continuing today. This is part of the bigger, $100 million project which will eventually see all of Algonquin fixed over 10 years. Around 1.4-kilometres of work will get done this summer. The province is paying for $3 million of the first phase.

The Bruce Avenue intersection is still closed for grading, curb, and culvert work today. Detour signs will be posted. Westbound lanes on 101 near the Tisdale cemetery will be closed again this week for excavation work, but one lane will remain open in each direction.
