National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured at the workplace

Today is the National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured on the job. The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board says since 1979 over 10,300 people died on the job. Over 230-thousand injuries were reported in 2013 alone. Day of Mourning events are happening across Ontario. Timmins and District Labour Council is holding an event today at 11am at Miner’s Memorial.
