Minor charged for bolting from a taxi and giving a fake name to police

The Timmins Police is arresting a youth for identity and transportation fraud. The charges stem from the suspect, who cannot be identified as they are under 18-years-old, allegedly bolting from a taxi without paying their fare in South Porcupine. TPS tracked the suspect down, who then gave a fake name to officers. He’s now facing four charges in total, and was held in custody.

The charges are as follows:

  • One count of Transportation Fraud
  • One count of Identity Fraud
  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Conditional Sentence
