Brian Kelly, who represents Ontario Northland workers, says companies at the site will need to process the chromite they mine. And Kelly says considering the proximity, Timmins is a good fit for a smelter to process that ore. Kelly says the development would be good news across Northeastern Ontario. The ONTC is trying to ensure it’s involved in some capacity at the Ring of Fire.
