The teenager accused of killing 19-year-old Austin Theriault has made his first appearance in court. The appearance was very brief, and saw 19-year-old Nathan Koostachin remanded back into custody. He will return to court next month, appearing over a video feed. It is possible he will be out on bail after that court date. He is currently being held at the Monteith Correctional Complex.

The first degree murder charges were laid after Theriault’s body was found in Bozzer Park on July 13th. The charges were laid less than 12 hours later.
