The Anti-Hunger Coalition of Timmins is taking over the Kidd Operations Community Garden. The six year project created a sustainable food system for the city. ACT will now oversee the garden, with a goal of empowering individuals by providing opportunities to grow, share, and consume healthy food.
The garden has sites on Bannerman and at Northern College. Community members can rent a growing space for $25, but they are currently all booked up for this season. More information on renting a plot is on the ACT website.
