Sudbury has taken another step to becoming an important centre for health care and research. Thanks to $4.9 million from the Heritage Fund, a former school in the city can be converted into a medical research centre. Doctor Francisco Diaz-Mitoma says the new centre opens the door to more treatments plus it can carry out more life-changing research. Once converted, the research centre will be 14,000 square feet in size.
