Uncategorized Bisson says Liberals letting natural gas prices spike SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Thursday, Apr. 17th, 2014 The Wynne Liberals say they have no intention of telling the Ontario Energy Board how to set energy rates. Colleges and university minister Brad Duguid made the declaration in the Legislature. Duguid was responding to NDP allegations from Gilles Bisson of Timmins-James Bay that the government is standing on the sidelines while the energy board allows rates to spike. But he says while rates are going up this year because of the harsh winter, they’ve dropped over the past decade. Duguid says the Ontario Energy Board must continue to remain independent of government interference.
