R. Ross Beattie Public School is set to stay open in the fall. The board of trustees voted this week to keep the school in operation, which comes after a water main break shut it down for the rest of the year. They are now moving forward with an RFP to fix the foundation walls, which is expected to cost around $200,000.

Classes have been cancelled at the school since May 20th, and students are finishing up their year at Timmins High.
