Final public consultation on proposed aquatic centre is tonight

Timmins is getting the final update from the architect group overseeing the potential new pool tonight. Sierra Planning is hosting their fourth and last open house tonight, to present their recommended concepts for an aquatic facility.

Mayor Steve Black says it will also give the community a final chance for some feedback, to see if the public is on the same page as the consultants. After that, the planning group will be coming back to city council for some decisions.

Black says that includes location, what will be included in the centre, and whether or not council proceeds with the engineering design. The meeting is at 6:00pm tonight, in the auditorium at the Mac.
