Local dad supports daughter riding for Cystic Fibrosis

Omer Sauve, owner for Sauve Lumber, is cheering on his daughter as she rides for Cystic Fibrosis.

Sauve’s son has CF and says the money raised for the cause has help his son live a longer life than expected. He is now 27 but when he was first born doctors told the family that’s he’d only make it through the first years of his life.

Sauve’s daughter Valerie will start her nine-day, 1200km marathon on June 21 in British Columbia.

Valerie’s quest is to find “1,000 people with $5 to spare for Cystic Fibrosis” So far she’s raised $5000 dollars but her goal in $9000.
