Ontario’s environment and climate change minister says the province is not forcing people to switch from natural gas to electricity.  Glen Murray says this is misinformation on the part of the Progressive Conservatives.

Murray says the Liberals understand the role natural gas plays in peoples’ lives and are expanding gas infrastructure.  Several weeks ago, the Globe and Mail was given a leaked Cabinet document stating future homes would be heated by electricity and families with more than one car had to ensure the second vehicle was electric powered.

Nipissing Tory MPP Vic Fedeli says the fact the document was leaked means there are Liberals within Cabinet that don’t like the proposal.
