Goldcorp is helping the Timmins hospital buy a new MRI machine with a $500,000 donation. This is third cheque of that amount, bringing the company’s donation total to $1.5 million. General Manager of the Porcupine Gold Mine, Brendan Zuidema says they help to support the hospital because they recognize the importance of contributing to the communities in which they operate.
The current MRI machine at the hospital is nearing the end of its life, doing almost 10,000 exams in 2015. This donation brings the hospital’s campaign total to $12.5 million this year.
