Human remains found in Cochrane belong to missing woman

Autopsy results have confirmed human remains found near Cochrane are Aline Lalonde, also known as Aline New. The 70-year-old was reported missing on May 3rd, prompting the OPP to call in extra staff and search parties. 

Her body was found on Saturday night in Fournier Township, which is just southwest of Cochrane. A Cochrane man has been charged with second degree murder in connection to her death. The 41-year-old will be appearing in court next month.
