Detour Gold Corporation is facing charges in connection to a death at one of their mines near Cochrane. 52-year-old Denis Millette, from Matheson, died in June while doing repair work at the site. The OPP has been investigating ever since, and now say the cause of death was acute cyanide intoxication. Detour is now facing criminal negligence causing death charges. Their first court appearance is set for May 10th in Cochrane.
