Pothole solutions will have to wait until the weather stays warm

Drivers are starting to notice the many potholes on Timmins’ streets. The city is also taking note of the issues, but there isn’t much they can do until the weather stays warm. Mayor Steve Black says this is a downside of our northern climate. He says there will be potholes every spring, because of the dramatic weather changes and and the freeze-thaw season that we have.

Black says the city is hopeful the shave and pave they did last year will hold up until they can start the reconstruction of Algonquin. However he says to drive with more caution and take your time as there are still potholes around town.
