Timmins 2020 will be starting five new projects this year.

Some include welcome signage to the city, a community foundation, a diversity tolerance plan, and an Aboriginal partner’s group.

The first two welcome signs will be installed at Kidd Concentrator and Tembec.

Two projects will also be wrapping up soon including the housing strategy and the Culture, Tourism, and Recreation Master plan.

The CTR Master plan will be reviewed by a volunteer committee this week and the final plan will come to council around the end of April.

Mayor Laughren says this is a true community plan and it will be a success.
