Even though the federal budget doesn’t specifically mention the Ring of Fire, a Northern Ontario MP says it will still happen. The Liberal representative for Sudbury, Paul Lefebvre, says the feds are going to invest money into education and infrastructure to First Nations.
Lefebvre admits the budget doesn’t mention specific projects like the Ring of Fire, but says the feds are going to spend billions on these kinds of projects. He also says some of the First Nation communities getting federal help are located near the project.
