Northern Ontario politicians are continuing the hammer the federal government over the lack of Ring of Fire mentions in their budget. The latest to weigh in is Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli, who says this must be disappointing for Premier Kathleen Wynne. He says Premier Kathleen Wynne claimed Trudeau would partner with Ontario to develop the site during the federal election campaign. But, he says of course there was no mention of it.
Fedeli says when the Harper Tories were in power, Wynne constantly blamed them for the stalled project. He says the province has delayed the project for eight years, and they’re running out of excuses on who to blame.
