News Timmins Chamber is pleased with the federal budget, says it’s good for local business SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Mar. 24th, 2016 $120 billion in infrastructure investment over the next ten years is good news for Timmins. That’s according to the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, who is commenting on this week’s federal budget. The Chamber also says the extended Employment Insurance benefits for northern Ontario are a plus. President Kurt Bigeau says this helps to recognize the burden on employers, as discrepancies in the system have led to Ontario businesses providing a disproportionate amount to the system. Overall, the Chamber says the budget is generally good for local business.
