The MNR is reminding residents they need a fuelwood permit before heading out to harvest the remainder of this, or next seasons wood. Tembec is letting residents know about fuel wood regulations and collections while it’s harvesting in the area. Tembec says that both harvesting and hauling wood intended to be used as fuel isn’t permitted in active forestry zones due to safety. The MNR says you can find safety tips and regulations on its website.
