Northern Ontario School of Medicine looking to better integrate doctors into communities

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s board of directors have been discussing the school’s new strategic action plan in its latest meeting. The plan looks to integrate its students and future physicians more within the communities they work in, among other goals.

The NOSM says it will be holding its annual Northern Constellation, a conference that brings faculty and students together each year to share experiences and run hands on workshops. The board’s next meeting is set for May 12th and 13th in Hearst.

There are currently two residency positions and four third year students working out of the Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing until the end of April.
