The OPP is issuing another warning regarding crossing ice, whether it be by vehicle or on foot. Police, the MNR and the OFSC are all warning snowmobilers to check conditions before heading out.
This comes as statements have been issued by the MNR and OFSC regarding rapidly deteriorating ice conditions. There have been multiple reports of vehicles breaking through the ice in the north east. Even with colder temperatures in the long range forecast the OFSC says it could take some time for ice conditions to be safe again, if at all.
