OPP still investigating a missing persons case from 2009

The OPP is still trying to find a Cobalt woman who has been missing for six years. Shelley May Anderson was 51-years-old in 2009, when she was last seen boarding a bus in Cobalt. It was headed to New Liskeard. Police say she lived in Timmins and Schumacher most of her life and still has ties here.

She is described as 5’10”, with long dark hair, and regularly wore a cowboy hat. There was an unconfirmed sighting in Timmins in 2010, and another possible sighting in Edmonton in 2014. Anderson may be using different names, like Brenda May Anderson, Shelley May Becker, “Becky”, Shelley Becker or Brenda Becker.

Police are still working on the investigation, and asking who may know something to come forward. You can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
