The city is looking for public input on the Connecting Link redesign at an open house tonight

The city wants to hear input from the public on the $144 million Connecting Link project. There is an open house tonight to hear what people think about the current state of Algonquin, and how to make it better. The Connecting Link runs from South Porcupine to Kamiskotia Road, and a complete overhaul with upgrades is currently being looked at.

Right now the project has a $95 million price tag to re-do just the road, with another $45 million slated for upgrades, like sidewalks and burying overhead lines. There is 10 year timeline on the project. Tonight’s open house is a drop-in format, from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm at the auditorium in the Mac.
