Snowmobile week officially kicks off in Timmins today. Tourism and hospitality have benefited from the long winters and the sport of snowmobiling, and this week the city is helping to celebrate that. There are going to be events running all throughout the week, as the Timmins Snowmobile Club and Tourism Timmins are partnering up. Events include a Rock and Ride to the Timmins Rock game on Wednesday, and Snowcross this weekend.

Monday March 7th – Flag Raising at City Hall and political ride to Kamiskotia Snow Resort
Wednesday March 9th – Rock and Ride to Timmins Rock Game @ 7:30pm McIntyre Arena. Come cheer on Timmins’ Junior ‘A’ Hockey Team!
Thursday March 10th –Â Snowmobile over to Cedar Meadows and experience the Wilderness Tour @ 3pm
Friday March 11th –Â Visit Tourism Timmins for maps, coffee and hot chocolate! 76 McIntyre Road
Saturday March 12th –  Eclipse Financial Snowcross Pro Challenge @ Spruce Street South Snow Dump. Half time show Saturday with country Artists Larry Berrio
