The Great Canadian Kayak Challenge and Festival in Timmins is up for more provincial recognition.
This time, it’s vying for the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario “tourism event of the year” award.
The kayak festival is up against Blumination… the Christmas lights program at Blue Mountain… and Supercraawl… a music and arts festival in Hamilton.
The award will be presented at the association’s summit in Blue Mountain on October 30th.
That’s also when Timmins tourism manager Guy Lamarche receives a lifetime achievement award.
