Bisson asking why the investigation into the Sudbury by-election scandal has stalled

The NDP MPP for Timmins – James Bay is wondering why it’s taking the OPP so long to lay more charges in the Sudbury by-election scandal. Liberal supporter Gerry Lougheed Junior already faces bribe-related charges after another Liberal was asked not seek a nomination in a by-election in return for a job or appointment. The conversation was recorded.

But New Democrat Gilles Bisson says the Premier’s deputy chief of staff, Pat Sorbara, made the same offer and her voice is also on tape. Bisson understands investigations take time, but he says quite a bit of time has passed and adds people are asking why one person was charged and not the other.
