We could see some progress at the Ring of Fire. KWG, which has mining claims at the chromite site, has hired railroad specialist FSDI of China to study the feasibility of building a transportation corridor and railroad to the James Bay region.
Some of KWG’s claims cross two First Nations in the Ring of Fire. The company says the interests of both reserves as well as those of a nearby Tribal Council have to be included in the feasibility study. Once the study is complete, all parties will meet early next year to discuss their options including how to finance the project.
