Parkinson SuperWalk is set for September

The Parkinson SuperWalk is happening in just over a week in Timmins. The walk raises money for research and education. Over 100,000 Canadians are affected by the neuro-degenerative disease.

That includes 55-year-old Timmins man, Réjean Tellier. Tellier was diagnosed last year at 54, about ten years younger than average. He says he tries to stay positive, it’s not a death sentence, and medication and support groups help.

The SuperWalk also raises money for support services and advocacy. It’s on September 13th. All of the details for this year’s walk are online on the SuperWalk Website.
