Fred Gibbons, the president of Northern College in Timmins, is pleased with a deal the school has struck with Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie. Gibbons says the agreement allows Northern students in a two or three-year program to transfer to a degree program at Algoma U. Gibbons says what makes this a good deal is Algoma will recognize the Northern student`s credits. The agreement covers six Bachelor programs including business administration, social works, science and computer science. It takes effect this fall.
