School board looks for public input

The District School Board Ontario North East is hoping council will want to hear their five year plan. The board plans to release their income plan, and is looking for municipal and public opinion. They are calling the plan a living document, to get feedback before decisions about student needs and accommodations are finalized.

Board Chair Doug Shearer says too often school boards are accused of hiding things and not being transparent. He says this will let the community know what the board is thinking over the next few years.

The DSB Website will have the plan posted as it becomes available.
